The new BlackBerry 8820 is the first RIM device to offer Wi-Fi connectivity.  The concern seems to not be directly linked to RIMs implementation of Wi-FI, just the fact that it is available and end users will use it to surf the web or do business on unsecured Wi-Fi links.
