There has been some recent rumbling about a possible slip in shipping of Windows Server 2008. Today the Windows team blog confirmed these rumblings. There is no specific mention for the reason for this slip on the blog. They do mention however that the new RTM timeframe is Q1 2008 and that the lauch events scheduled for February are still on track.

I have worked with several of the builds and it really seems to be a great product. I think it takes some real strong people to stand up to the pressure of shipping deadlines just to make sure the product is ready from primetime... lets just hope it wasn't because the devs wanted some extra time for vacation!
