I thought this was amusing! Riding fast on heels of the latest RIM BlackBerry outage Palm takes shots at the fact that RIM's network is a single point of failure.

RIM has some PR work to get done and needs to improve their change and operational processes. With Windows Mobile and the iPhone gaining on them they can't afford to look bad to anyone. And at least in my experience it would seem in the recent months that there seems to be more and more people switching over to Windows Mobile from BlackBerry. Seeing the service flaws and the advancement that Exchange and Windows Mobile has made in the last few years I can see why it has been a compelling platform to so many BlackBerry fans.
I have been using Windows Mobile in lieu of a BlackBerry since early in the Exchange Server 2003 betas. I suffered through the initial attempts of Exchange Server 2003 RTM/SP1's Almost Never Up-to-date feature, and of course the DirectPush feature add in Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2.
Update 2/23/08 - I found another Palm RIM potshot today:
