Unexpected NDR

Hi

Our firewall, backup software & UPS are configured to send daily, weekly & error reports to administrator@mydomain.com using same email ID.
Whenever report email are sent to administrator@mydomain.com mail server also tries to send the same report to one deleted email id which I have deleted three months ago.(deleted user ID was never configured to receive any types of reports).

Whenever I receive any report email, I also receive NDR report. One example report is here under:

Autodiscover in Exchange 2007

Hi all,

I am trying to install autodiscover in my lab for exchange 2007 but facing issues

Setup

Vmware Server 2.0.2

Win 2003 (DC) + CAS + HUB +MB

WIn XP SP2 Client with Office 2007

I have done the following

1. Setup DNS record autodiscover (192.168.10.5 , my ex server IP) - main.flightexchange (FQDN)

2. I am able to ping autodiscover

3. set-outlookprovider -id exch server:main.flightexchange (Successfull)

When i do a domain login through the client XP machine & click on email it automatically resolves the email ID but then fails to establish network connection in outlook

Cant go beyond this.

Somene kindly suggest where is the catch here as autodiscover doenst work beyond this

Showing BCC In OWA client

In OWA 2003, the BCC field was present by default, in 2007, you have to enable it with options>show bcc on every message where you want to use it. I have a high-profile user who relies on this and he is complaining loudly.

Is there a way to turn this field on by default as it was in 2003? I have seen a hack that modifies the OWA code (the editmessage.aspx file), but this won't work for this client. I am hoping that there's a server registry hack or something that will do the job. Any takers?

Also: has anyone heard if exchange 2010 will correct this problem? Many thanks.

EXport a mailbox into pst

Hi,

I am having an issue when i am exporting mailbox from Ex 2007 database into a pst file.

It is giving an error like "Error occurred in the step: Approving object . An unknown error has occurred."

Status code giving "-2147221219"

Even I have given full access to the particular mailbox .

Getting "contacting the server for information" POP up

Hi,

I am getting a POP-up "contacting the server for information" when opening any commercial email (associated with graphics in message body), received from outside the orgnization. I am geeting this POP-up while accessing these kind of emails from office network.

When opening these kind of emails from home using RPC over http, then there is no POP-up for "contacting the server for information" . Follwing are the details.

1)- Outlook version - Outlook 2007

2)- Exchange version - 2007 with roll up 8 on all roles

Please provide your inputs.

So I just installed 2010. Under MS exchange on-premises on the left in the management console, I receive "Initalization failed. No CAS or other servers are available in the current site or adjacent sites. Cannot connect t o Remote Powershell in a Management Tools only box and no cmdlets are provided by Remote Powershell."

Nothing else is listed on the left pane. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!!

Also.. I launced win powershell and it tries to add exchange snap in but fails w/ the following:

Three of our Exchange2007 email clients are receiving NDR.

Very strange NDR!!!!! Sender and receiver are the same.

Accessing other users calendars with Outlook Anywhere (RPC/HTTP) settings

We have had Outlook Anywhere successfully deployed for quite some time now and I am pretty sure that this issue has been around ever since.

The issue is that if the users Outlook profile includes the HTTP over RPC settings, they are prompted for their username and password when accessing someone else's calendar.

This is when connected LOCALLY, not via an Internet connection. If I check the connection Status the client is correctly connecting via TCP/IP.

I have the "On fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP" UNCHECKED
and
"On slow networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP" CHECKED

Here is what I am currently running:

Client:
Windows XP SP3
Office 2003 SP3

Server:
Exchange 2007 Mailbox, CAS and HUB servers
Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 x64 Version
Outlook Anywhere is configured for Basic Authentication

Is there anyway to get rid of this without switching to NTLM authentication? What is weird is that my Outlook 2007 clients do not have this issue.

If exchange 2007 is installed on ADC with windows2003 Standard server & LRC is configures on remote server (Network Map Drive).

In case of HDD or Motherboard failure, is it possible to install exchange2007 on new server & direct the database path to LCR.

We have exchange servers is multiple countries. There are two countries that need to send email to each other. They don't have a direct connection to each other but they both can connect to here (US) and send/receive email for the server here in the US. I have created an IP site link bridge but they exchange 2007 servers in both countries still want to send mail directly to each other. What am I doing wrong? Or what do I need to do so that they will use the Site Link Bridge to send email to each other.

These are the internal domains: usa.company.com, jpn.company.com, sea.company.com

usa.company.com can send/receive email from jpn.company.com and sea.company.com through the direct network connections (tunnels)

jpn.company.com and sea.company.com need to send email to each other but have not connection to each other.

I have a Site Link Bridge which contains the Site links for usa.company.com <-> jpn.company.com and usa.company.com <-> sea.company.com

What am I missing?

Extract Logs in Exchange 2007 for Sharedmailbox

Hi there,

Please help me to find the logs in Exchange 2007 server based on message ID of the sent mails that who has sent mail from the shared mailbox.

There are arround 20 members of this shared mailbox and they are sending mails by own credential using the shared mailbox.

So, please help me to track the logs for individual stamping of the sent mails from the shared mailbox and we can capture the victim member of the shared mailbox.

Out Of The Office Assistant Not Working

I have a Exchange 2007 Server I read that it could be a issue with Net Frame Work or my guess is Auto discovery. When any of my users click on Out of the Office Assistant using Outlook 2007 they get a error message "Your Out Of Office settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later" Any help on this will be much appreciated.

Email Being Sent Multiple Times!

I had several times on our Change 2007 server where folks have called and said that a person they emailed have gotten the email from them like 10 times. I have noticed that this only happens on some not all of them. I had a user send a email to someone at redhat.com and I noticed that the messages got stuck in the queue. I was able to clear them out so that way they would not get like 10 message sent to them. Now in the past I think someone had suggested that you set up "Send Connectors" so I thought I might try that for redhat.com. But how do you know what IP address to use for the Smart Host??

I am having a hell of a time with Exchange 2007 SP1 blocking all email from a particular domain, lets call it blockeddomain.com. I have added blockeddomain.com to the BypassedSenderDomains as seen below:

I have installed Exchange 2007 on an IBM 64bit with 2003 standard. Exmerge does not work with 2007,

Hi, I have just installed an Active directory and one Exchane server for my company. the problem is that we need to seperate users to two compeletly independent groups not being able to send email to the other group or see names of other group in OAB. Is this possible in one exchange server or I need to another installation? Can some one help me to figure out a good solution?

Outlook 2007 Sync Issues

Ok last year we finally got on our new Exchange 2007 server from our old Exchange 2000 server. Everything has been working well but on our clients machines they are getting errors in their Outlook about sync issues. Below is the error everyone is getting.
